Why the Pink Triangle?

The Pink Triangle originated as a symbol of oppression during the Holocaust, when Nazis used it to identify and persecute LGBTQ+ individuals, especially gay men, in concentration camps. After World War II, the symbol was reclaimed by the LGBTQ+ community, turning a mark of shame into one of pride and resistance. Its reclamation emphasizes the importance of remembering past injustices while advocating for dignity, equality, and acceptance. By embracing the Pink Triangle today, the community continues to honor the struggle for LGBTQ+ rights and reaffirms a commitment to justice and visibility for all.

  • Land Acknowledgement

One United Tribe is based in the paeʻāina of Hawaiʻi, on the mokupuni of Oʻahu. OUT recognizes that her majesty Queen Liliʻuokalani yielded the Hawaiian Kingdom and its territories under duress and protest to the United States to avoid the bloodshed of her people, and that Hawai‘i remains an illegally occupied state of America.

  • LGBTQIA+ Acknowledgement

One United Tribe is proudly and unapologetically inclusive of the entire spectrum of the Queer Community. We pay tribute and honor the LGBTQIA+ and MVPFAFF generations that came before us and fought for our right to exist.

We are United

Welcome to One United Tribe. This is the beginning of an exciting journey that has been dreamed about for 20 years and now coming to reality. This is a collective of ideas that all have one thing in common, the passion for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging of the queer community.

Everything here is created and shipped from Hawai'i. We do not mass produce; everything is printed in house and shipped directly from us.

We started in the shirt business but are so excited about what we have up our short sleeves (queue the dad jokes)! We are going to bring you some the coolest swim, shorts, pants, and accessories from the island.

We will be adding new stuff daily. Join our mailing list or check back often to see all the new and creative things that we come up with.
